Tony Wuerfel has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, History and Religion from Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan. Tony says he came to VRA because "the mountains beckoned me and I followed." Tony is married to Danielle. His interests, besides Danielle, are underwater basket weaving, button collecting, and spending every spare minute reading. Mr. Wuerfel's goals for this year are to teach a love for learning as well as to help his students see their Creator in new and creative ways. His favorite quote is from Jack Kerouac: "The only people for me are the mad ones, mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved...The ones who never say a commonplace thing." He says the little known thing about him is this: "I can bake 20 minute brownies in 15 minutes, leap small buildings in a single bound all while holding the attention of 20 students seated neatly in front of me."
