School Supply List for 2007-2008 - Grades K-6

Kindergarten | First & Second
Third & Fourth | Fifth & Sixth

Kindergarten:

1 – backpack large enough to hold a 1” binder
      and a lunch box.  No rolling backpacks.
1 – box each small and large Ziplock bags
2 – boxes of Kleenex
25 – each: paper plates, paper cups & plastic ware
1 – personal drinking cup

Very important:  All students need an emergency
change of clothing, including underwear.  Please
LABEL each article of clothing and place in a large
Ziplock bag with the student’s name on it.

 

First & Second Grade:

Wide-ruled paper*
Pencils (already sharpened)
Eraser
Scissors
Small bottle of white glue*
3 glue sticks
3 dry erase markers
Ruler
Colored pencils
Markers
Crayola (8 color) watercolors*
Container for pencils and markers
1 box of Kleenex
1 12 oz. bottle hand sanitizer* (2nd grade girls)
1 box Ziplock large storage bags* (2nd grade boys)
1 box Ziplock sandwich bags* (1st grade girls)
1 box Ziplock snack bags* (1st grade boys)
2 highlighters – 1 orange; 1 yellow
1 3-ring white binder*
Pedometer (simple) for PE class

Please put your name on all items.
Items with an * are collected on the first day of school.

Please do not send tape, glitter glue or pens!

 

 

Third & Fourth Grade:

Fine motor skills are a part of my curriculum and the art supplies on this list are very important to acquire these skills correctly.

SHARP mid-sized scissors (no kiddie or large ones)
Crayola or Prang:  Large, fat markers, skinny markers, and colored pencils  (Extremely important – a MUST)

The next items are used extremely often and are also very important class supplies:

3-5 soft pink erasers (we do a lot of erasing)
5 packs of wide-ruled notebook paper (we really do use it)
1 hand-held pencil sharpener (we do not use noisy sharpeners during class time).  Please be sure sharpeners are not toys; we use these and the erasers every 30 seconds, so quality is an absolute must.
1 wooden ruler with a metal edge
4th grade - 1 mechanical pencil, regular pencils and lots of lead
4th grade - 1 protractor (normal size and not solid plastic)
3rd grade – 1 mechanical pencil and regular pencils
2 packs loose leaf graph paper (biggest squares available)
2 composition books
4-6 glue sticks
1 box Kleenex

 

Fifth & Sixth Grade:

Please purchase the following items to be stored in the classroom:

Kleenex, 2 boxes
Mister Clean Magic Erasers, 4 pack
Good Quality Loose Leaf Notebook paper, 5 packs
  (no Big Lots brand, please)
Scissors, 2 pair
#2 Pencils, non-mechanical, 1 package
White Elmer’s Glue, 2 large bottles
Glue Sticks, 6+

Please purchase the following items to be stored in your desk or locker:

Spiral Notebooks, 5
Pocket Folders, 5
Pencils
Large Eraser
Ruler with inches and centimeters
Colored Pencils (recommended)
Crayons & Markers (optional)
Box Container to store your pencils and colors
Water Bottle
Flash Drive (optional, but recommended)
3-ring Binder (optional, but needs to be small enough to fit in your desk)

Please do not bring staplers, glitter glue, or toys.  Think simple!
