Scrip Program – The Scrip program got off to a great start! The first order got placed yesterday with 14 families participating for a profit of $136.05! Just imagine what we could earn if all 90 school families placed even a small order! The next order will be placed at noon on Monday, October 1st. Orders are accepted in the school office at any time. Please visit the Home & School/Scrip link to view the list of over 200 major retailers who are waiting to donate money to our school. Take-Home Dinner – The 1st Take-Home Dinner of the year will be Thursday, September 27th. We will be featuring one of your favorite dinners – SLUMGULLION! Please see the attached flyer for more information.
Cookie Dough Fundraiser – The annual cookie dough fundraiser will kick-off on Monday, September 24th. Your child will come home with a packet of information regarding the sale, the prizes they can earn, and how friends and family can support them by purchasing items on-line! Please support your child for this very important fundraiser. Our goal is for each student to sell a minimum of 10 items. If we achieve this goal, we will raise over $7,000.
Family Night – is coming on Saturday night, October 13th. We will have a short vespers at sundown, then head to the gym for the Team Scramble, eat pizza and snacks, and then open the gym for basketball and volleyball, play table games and ping pong in the lunch room, etc. Watch for more detailed information coming soon.
Fundraising Projects – I want to personally encourage each and every family to participate wholeheartedly in the important fundraising efforts conducted on behalf of your students and our school, Vista Ridge Academy. With the additional funds that are earned over and above tuition income, we can create a better scholastic, physical, and technological environment for now and for the future. One of our most significant needs right now is a new sound system. For those of you who have attended any program at VRA, you know this is true. Our first goal this year is to purchase approximately $5,000 in new, high-quality microphones. This is the 1st phase of our new sound system. We will also fund cutting edge seminars for teaching staff, dedicate some money to our new building fund, continue to fund our new running track, and hopefully support some other programs for VRA that will ensure we are a vital and competitive force for our students. The Home and School organization is working diligently to earn money for our school with no, or very little monetary output required by our families.
