Student Handbook
For those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31
History
The history of the school dates to 1899 when Boulder Junior Academy was founded at the foothills north of Boulder Canyon. After occupying several temporary and more permanent locations, a school was built on 4th Street in Boulder in 1954. The school received several additions and remodels in subsequent years. After a century of educating thousands of children within Boulder County, the school’s Board of Directors was challenged with the rapid growth of young families living in the north Denver Metro area. Motivated by a desire to better serve future generations, the Board adopted a bold new plan to create Vista Ridge Academy. The new site is conveniently located in a modern development northwest of the I-25 and I-470 interchange near Sheridan Parkway and Highway 7. The school moved to the new location in February of 2004.
