Classroom News

Kindergarten
Mrs. Tusken

Tomorrow we officially start our count down of the last 26 days of school.  Wednesday is A-bring a stuff animal, Thursday is B-bubble day, and Friday is C-cookie day!

The days have started to get hotter, so please remember to sunscreen your child before school to prevent in future sunburns.  Thanks.

Our field trip to Curious George has been canceled. Sorry!  But we have decided to plan two field trips in place of the one!  More information will be available soon!

Grades 1-2
Mrs. Gaines

Don’t forget Pet Week.  We are scheduling appointments for the remainder of this week and next.

We have two field trips scheduled for May!  One is to the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden.  The second is to the recreation center in Broomfield.  We’ll let you know when.

Grades 3-4
Mr. Breese

Next Thursday, April 27th, is the 3rd and 4th grade
Spelling Bee at Mile High.  We will leave around 8:30 am and get back before school is out.  I’m looking for 2-3 parents to go along and help out.  If you can do this, please let me know.  I could really use the help.  Lunch is $3.00 + .35 cents for milk or you can pack a lunch for your child/ren.

We’re starting a Dictionary unit tomorrow, so if you could make sure your child/ren has a dictionary to bring to school I would greatly appreciate it.  Thanks again for your help and support.

Grades 5-6
Mrs. Hodgson

It will be a quiet week with grades 7-10 gone to Texas.  Now we are “the big kids”!   We will keep busy preparing lunches for the rest of the students as well as our studies.  There was a math test today and we will have a Social Studies test on Thursday.  Students can also begin studying for a Science test next week on Monday.

Second printing -- In order to prepare for seventh grade, sixth grade students are now expected to turn in their class work no later than the day after it was assigned.  Any late work will automatically receive 50% less than full credit.  Sixth graders also need to begin dressing for PE – elastic waist pants/shorts, t-shirt, and tennis shoes.  This policy will go into effect beginning April 17.

Texas

Grades 7-10 arrived safely in Texas and are enjoying the hot, humid Texas air!  They were scheduled to visit NASA today.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found will be put out at the end of the month.  Please label your stuff and we’ll get it back to you! Any questions please call Debbie Smith at 303-469-8043.
