Classroom News
Kindergarten
Mrs. Tusken
We have been busy with our spring theme. We also have added a new theme this week that connects with spring. . . the weather. We are learning about the changes to the weather in spring and why we have rain, snow, clouds and wind!
Please remember that the history fair is April 6. Please help your child create a costume like an historical figure. For example: Babe Ruth, Alexander Bell, past presidents. The students will be judged and awarded! Good luck.
Remember, school is out at 12:15 tomorrow for Parent Teacher conferences.
Grades 1-2
Mrs. Gaines
“April Fools the Class” will be performed Friday morning at 11:30 in our classroom. We hope you can attend.
Get ready to participate in the Annual Egg Drop to be held on Friday, April 14th. Last year it snowed! All grades, K-10 are encouraged to join in the fun. Contest rules will be available soon.
Reports and projects for the History Fair are due on April 5th. Check out the enclosed sheet for ideas. Everyone must turn in a project.
Grades 3-4
Mr. Breese
I’m looking forward to seeing each of you at Parent-Teacher conferences tomorrow. If possible, I would like to have each of the students attend the conference to answer questions and set goals for this term. Also, I would like to share more information about grading and late papers.
Mr. Breese

Our final quarter has begun. It is hard to believe that school will be over in just nine weeks!
School is out at 12:15 tomorrow. It is not too late to schedule a Parent/Teacher Conference for tomorrow afternoon. Call the office to see what times are still available.
Students were given a grading rubric for their history projects last Friday. One for parents is enclosed in today’s folder.
Please make sure permission slips and/or money is turned in for the Field Trip next Tuesday to Body Worlds 2 and Wired to Win.
Grades 7-10
Mr. Pauls
Mr. Wuerfel
Ms Schneider
Galveston Update: The students have almost raised the full amount for the trip. The students have worked hard to raise the funds together as well as earning $100 on their own to contribute. We are still lacking $50 per student. We are asking the parents to contribute the $50 per student to meet our entire budget goal. These funds are due April 3. Thank you for helping us!
Remember! The History Fair is April 6, 6:00 – 7:30. |
Lost and Found
Lost and Found will be put out at the end of the month. Please label your stuff and we’ll get it back to you! Any questions please call Debbie Smith at 303-469-8043.
NOTE!
Change in Hot Lunch schedule! There will be no hot lunch on the 4th of April since grades 5-10 will be on the field trip. The Grillers lunch will be served on the 6th of April.
History Fair
The history fair will be Thursday, April 6 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Attendance is mandatory!
